General repair
General auto repair in Hurricane
General auto repair at AutoMed covers the fix once the diagnosis shows what failed. We work on domestic, Asian, and most European vehicles at the shop in Hurricane. The repair matches the fault we found, which is how a visit stays aimed at the real problem.
The range of vehicles, and the limit
Domestic and Asian vehicles are everyday work here. Most European vehicles are too. “Most” is the honest line: if you drive something uncommon, call and tell us the year, make, and model before you tow it across town. A short conversation can tell you whether the shop is the right place for that car.
St. George, Washington, La Verkin, Toquerville, and Springdale are a drive away on SR-9 or SR-17. The shop itself is only in Hurricane, at 405 W 100 N, Unit D4. We no longer offer mobile auto repair. The vehicle comes to the bay, and the work stays here from the test through the repair.
Air conditioning, heat, steering, and suspension
Heating and air conditioning complaints are part of general repair. Warm air from the vents, airflow that only picks up on the highway, a smell when the system starts, or heat that never gets warm can come from different places. Refrigerant charge is one possibility. A blend door, a fan, a leak, or a pressure problem are others. We test before parts are replaced. Bobby is ASE certified in HVAC, which is the credential for this system.
A pull, a wander, a clunk over bumps, uneven tire wear, or a steering wheel that sits off center can be a tire, a worn joint, or a steering component. Those are separate faults, and they need separate tests. Bobby is ASE certified in steering and suspension. We find which part failed, then repair that part. Brake work follows the same order, and he is ASE certified in brakes as well.
How a general repair visit goes
Start with the symptom in plain words: what it does, when it does it, and what has already been tried. We confirm it, test until the cause is known, and explain the result before the repair. Engine performance faults often begin as a check engine light or a drivability complaint. Those are diagnosed first, then repaired.
Some repairs finish with a module that has to be programmed to the vehicle. We can program most makes and models when the job calls for that step. You get one explanation of the fault and a repair aimed at it, during shop hours, Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm.
