Breakdown repair at the Hurricane shop

When the vehicle will not go, call during open hours. We diagnose and repair it at the shop. We no longer offer mobile auto repair, so the car has to be brought to Hurricane. The visit still starts by finding the real fault.

A no-start is more than one problem

A car that cranks and will not fire, a car that only clicks, a car that stalls once it is warm, and a car that overheats are four different tests. A battery can cause a no-crank. So can a connection or a charging system that has been failing quietly. A crank-and-no-start can be fuel, spark, a sensor, or an engine mechanical problem. The symptom you describe picks the first test.

A warning light that arrives with the breakdown belongs in the same story. Note what the car did in the minutes before it quit: a smell, a gauge, a noise, a loss of power on a grade. Those details survive better if you write them down before the tow.

The shop is the place the work happens

We no longer come to the driveway, the trailhead, or the side of SR-9. If the vehicle can be driven safely, bring it to 405 W 100 N, Unit D4, Hurricane. If it cannot, have it transported here. We do not provide towing. Hours are Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm, and the shop is closed Saturday and Sunday.

Once the car is here, the order is the same as any other visit. We confirm the symptom, test until the cause is known, and repair what failed. A battery gets replaced when the battery is the cause. A deeper fault goes through diagnostics. The repair follows that result, including programming on most makes and models when the job calls for it.

If you are stuck up the highway

Springdale, Virgin, Rockville, La Verkin, Toquerville, Washington, and St. George are all a drive from this one shop. A breakdown near Zion still ends at the Hurricane address if you want us to work on the car. Call during weekday hours, describe what the vehicle is doing, and arrange to get it to the bay.

A flashing check engine light, an overheating gauge, or a brake pedal that goes to the floor are reasons to stop driving. Those symptoms can damage the car or leave you without a safe stop. Getting the vehicle here in one piece matters more than limping it the last miles.
