La Verkin does not have an AutoMed shop. The bay is in Hurricane, about 3 miles west on SR-9, roughly a 7-minute drive from central Hurricane to La Verkin. We no longer offer mobile auto repair, so the car comes to us.
The drive from La Verkin
La Verkin sits just east of Hurricane, where SR-17 meets SR-9. From town, take SR-9 west into Hurricane. The highway between the two is short. Published drives put La Verkin about 3 miles and about 7 minutes from central Hurricane, and the shop at 405 W 100 N, Unit D4 is inside Hurricane from there. Times vary with traffic on State Street.
That road is the same one people already use for errands between the two towns. A repair visit fits that trip. It is not a cross-county haul, and it is still a shop visit: we do not meet you in La Verkin, at a job site, or on the shoulder.
Why the short drive is worth making
The reason to come to Hurricane is the way the work is done. We find the fault before parts are replaced, then explain it in plain language. Bobby is ASE certified in engine performance, HVAC, brakes, and steering and suspension, with more than 20 years of professional experience. Domestic, Asian, and most European vehicles are welcome.
A missed diagnosis on a car this close to the shop still wastes the repair. Oil and brake checks, check engine lights, batteries, and maintenance are the everyday reasons La Verkin drivers come in. If the repair needs a module programmed, we can do that on most makes and models at the same address, so the trip does not have to be repeated for a software step.
Hours, and what we will not do
The shop is open Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm, and closed Saturday and Sunday. Call (435) 817-7016 and describe the symptom before you drive over, especially if the car is unsafe to drive. If it cannot be driven, have it brought to the Hurricane address. We do not provide towing, and we no longer offer mobile auto repair.
Toquerville is a few minutes north of you on SR-17. Springdale is the other direction, up SR-9. Both of those towns use this same Hurricane shop. There is still only one location.
