Pre-purchase car checks in Hurricane

Before you buy, the useful questions are practical. Does the engine run the way it should on a check? Are there warning lights or stored faults? Do the brakes, steering, and suspension show wear you can already feel or see? Are there leaks, cooling issues, or exhaust problems that show themselves in the bay?

Bobby is ASE certified in engine performance, brakes, steering and suspension, and HVAC, so the systems on that list are ones he is certified to work on. We service domestic, Asian, and most European vehicles. Bring the year, make, and model, and anything the seller told you that you want checked.

A shop visit can report the condition we find that day. It cannot promise that a hidden failure will stay hidden, and it is not a warranty on the car you are about to buy. Damage that would take a teardown to see stays unseen. A clean-looking test does not freeze the car in that condition.

That limit is part of an honest check. We would rather tell you the brakes are worn and a light is on, in plain language, than hand you a certificate that overreaches. If the check finds a fault, we can talk about what the repair would be. The buying decision stays yours.

The vehicle has to be at the shop. We no longer offer mobile auto repair, so we cannot meet a seller in a parking lot. Have the car brought to 405 W 100 N, Unit D4, Hurricane, on a weekday between 9am and 5pm. Call first so we know it is coming.
